This is Us is a two-masted aluminium schooner designed for long range cruising, although her racing pedigree is proven as she won the St Barths Bucket in 2012. Her slim, low-freeboard lines, long overhangs, modest pilothouse and clean deck are topped by a rig that follows the trend in modern schooners towards a high-aspect mainsail and full-roached foresail. This Is Us shoal canoe body is shaped for speed with a lifting keel that increases her draft to five metres balancing the rig’s added power to windward and on a reach.
